Xenia Light Requirements

Well, Dried seaweed, spirulina tablets, and regular flake food are not satisfying my PBT's cravings. HE just keeps giving my xenia a haircut every time I remove the strawberry basket. It is a good thing it grows so fast. I am going to get him some macro that I can grow in the fuge, and clip on the tank to let him graze more. Here is my question.

Does xenia require special lighting, or can I put it in my fuge for a week or so? I have read that it requires solely photosynthesis, I have also read that it gets its food through nutrient export.

I am a little confused and just trying to look out for this little guy with a bad haircut.

Xenia do rely on zooxanthellae as food. 3-5watts/gal should be okay.
