yet another lighting question

If I were able to find a "used" Aqualight 4x65 hood, would I be able to turn it into a retro-fit kit of sorts? I'm not afraid of doing some wiring. Has anyone dug into one of these to see if the components are movable so I could remotely mount the ballasts?

I don't know about the Aqualights, but the old CSL fixtures are made like that. I expect the Aqualights are too. You may be able to put a retro together using Fulham ballasts for less than you can get the used fixture though.

Would it be worth it though? I want to same some $, but not if it's going to cost me down the road. Are the ballasts good ballasts?
