I run my blues from 9am to 9pm and my whites from 10am til 8pm.

Thanks, I was wondering because I didn't know if I had my lights on too long because my tank got up to 89 degrees yesterday. Do you use a chiller? If so, which one do you use and would it work in a 34 gallon? And if you don't, do you have any suggestions on keeping temperature down?

I don't have a need for a chiller in any of my tanks, although my biocube does shoot up to about 81.
Do you have an enclosed canopy? Or is it an open top? Some people get the small clip on fans to help with the temperatues....

That can defintitely be playing a role. i would look at the fans I linked, they arent too expensive either. I would try to run with the canopy open if you can, not sure how your lights are setup. Also, what kind of lights do you run? MH's? t5s?
