My YWG has been around almost 6 months. Until the last week or do, he was always in/around his burrow with his pistol. Now, I've been catching him out for daily swims. He swims out to a corner, mid or high in the tank & sits there. He darts across the tank a few times then to the back. Then he takes his spot in front of his burrow.

Im not really concerned, but it is bizzare, out of character, almost ritualistic behavior.

Anyone else experience anything like this?

My pink spotted watchman does the same thing. Hangs out in the burrow with his pistol shrimp buddy, but also swims around and then back to the burrow.

I'd be much more worried about other behaviors. Swimming seems to be ok.

How is yours eating?

He eats fine & is otherwise great. As I said its a very ritualistic morning stroll, almost identical in timing & path every time; which is what brought me to ask. Interesting behavior none the less.
