I have 4 Giant danio's and I think 3 are of one gender and the 1 of the other genger... I have 3 "fatter" ones and one slender one, the slender one gets beat up pretty bad... would getting more slender ones stop them from beating them up?

I am not sure about the gender issue, but a couple more would probably help break up the aggression more.

Agreed. Fatter danios are usually females though if they are hogging the food that could explain that. Danios perfer to school together and the larger the school, the more the agression will be spread out. There will be some squabbles as they establish a pecking order.
I agree a single, pair, trio or four giant danios will drive other tankmates or a helpless giant danio crazy. This is what happened to me, but now they are fairly calm. Yeah, get more and hopefully it should stop. What do you have in there with them? I am just every curious.
