15G Gourami

I just bought a Betta a few days ago to replace one that died in my planted 15G tank. Well he turned out to be extremely aggressive to my other fish so I ended up buying a cheap 5 gallon for him and now am looking for a replacement.

Instead of going with another Betta I was thinking a Honey Gourami. The only other fish in there are 6 Neon Tetras (Plan on buying 2 or 3 more to replace a few that died) and 4 Cories (I know the tank is too small but ive had them for years and years and they are actually the offspring of ones I had in my old 30 gallon).

Should I go with a single Honey Gourami or get a Male and Female pair?

The tank is a Flex 15
