1cm white worms swimming around?!

Hey guys!

I just noticed in my 20 gallon planted, there are 2 small white worms swimming around! I have a crew of tiger barbs and some cories and they don't seem to be bothered by them.

The worms are extremely thin, they look THINNER than kite-string. They are about 1cm long and wiggle around near the surface of the water.

Any ideas what these things are? Should i try to kill them?

Likely nematodes, which are common and not a problem in your tank. Usually comes from excess nutrients in the water and live in the gravel.

Fish should likely eat them soon.

I'd have to agree with DT. The fish should take care of them shortly.

I had that in my new tanks twice....the fish always ate them after a week or so they were all gone.
