So sorry he's sick. Definitely change the water in that vase a lot. I find that dripping the fresh water in (like drip acclimating) stresses them less when sick.

I've kept mine with male and female guppies, harlequin rasboras, mollies, cories CAE, and even other male bettas without a probem
