29 gallon bottom dwelling fish

I would love suggestions. I have a 29 gallon... One side is densely planted and the other is open space.

I would love them to be a shoaling or schooling fish.

No corys
No algae eaters
No plecos
Only unique loaches

Thanks!

I had 5 that hid for three years and only came out at night. Have you had a different experience with them?

Yeah, mine usally go crazy for algae wafers, poring out of the rocks an running laps around the tank glass. I catch them hanging out around the tank. They do get more active at night, that's when they have non stop energy.

Maybe a dwarf Mexican crawfish? They're pretty nifty little dudes.
