29 gallon stocking

I currently upgraded to a 29 gallon tank which is currently cycling. I have 7 cherry barbs in my other tank. I really like Tiger barbs as well but a bit confused as to how to set up a community tank. I was thinking some zebra danios and neon tetras which I know are ok with Tigers. Question 1 do Cory Dora’s work well with Tigers? 2 I would like a M/F pair as a centerpiece fish. What do you guys think will work? Kribs? Blue Ram? Thanks!

Ps planning on 8 Tigers and 7 each of the schooling fish

Personally I would leave out the barbs and up the neon and danio groups. The danios are going to be super active and the neons almost as active. I say yes to the Cory's in a group of 6 and no to the kribs or rams. What filtration are you running? That is a big factor.

I’m using a quite flow 20 filter. So you just suggest small schools and Cory’s?

I agree with goat but I would say you could add two apistogramma or Bolivian Rams.

2 apistos
8 neons
6 danios
6 Cory cats

Or....
2 Bolivian Rams
8 Cardinal Tetra
6 danios
6 Cory cats

Up your filtration to turnover your tank at least 8x. Shoot for 10x.
