I think we're finally cycled! Between the amazing advice here and a great lfs that we found after starting the tank, we got through a bunch of challenges and water parameters are holding!! Ammonia=0, Nitrites=0, Nitrates=5-20 depending on water changes, pH 6.2, for over a week now.

Now the fun of planning and stocking!!

DT is 36 Gal (US) bowfront (30"x15"x22" deep) with 200 Watt heater holding at 76F, Aquaclear 70 filter, a couple of bubblers set low to help with O2 at depth and make a playground, rocks and fake plants for hidey holes. Currently stocked with shoal of 6 Von Rio Tetras who seems to love playing in the current and bubbles.

We've come to like the look of shoals of smaller fish, tetras in particular. ATM we're thinking of slowly stocking to:

9 Von Rio Tetra total
9 Black Neon Tetras
12 Ember Tetras
6 Panda Cories

Aqadvisor says that at adult size we would be at 84% stocking level and have 180% filtration capacity and recommends 21% weekly WC.

We welcome any thoughts and suggestions from your experiences!
:thanks:
