Hi everyone!

I am in the process of starting a new brackish tank (10gal) that will be the home of a Figure-8 puffer fish. I was planning on bulding, for that tank, a 3-d background as well (kinda like this one on http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/diy_aquarium_background.php)

That seems to work pretty well with FW, but what about BW?
Any interactions between the Styrofoam, cement, etc and the salt in the water that I should be aware of? Have anyone ever tried?

Part of the process of making a 3-D background is to use saltwater to help cure the concrete.. It just helps speed up the curing process of the concrete.. there should be no problems with using this for a brackish water tank.. if your really concerned and want a second opinion I would ask on the Cichlid-Forum in the General Aquaria Discussion area.. They have alot of users that use this technique.. Obviously, since you found the instructions on how to do it on there site..LOL
