40 Gallon Breeder stocking?

I will soon be getting a 40 gallon breeder tank and I'm wondering what I should stock in it? Well first I have 3 pictus catfish in a 20 gallon long and I will be putting them in the 40 gallon. So right now all I have in my list are 3 pictus catfish. I like guppies, tetras and tiger barbs. But I'm worried if I get tiger barbs they will nip all the fish. So what do you guys think? For my filtration I have An Aquaclear 110.

The pictus will look good in there! But I would do a stock of

3- pictus cats
1- Opaline Gourami
10- Harlequin Rasbora
1- Bristlenose Pleco
8- Cherry Barbs
