Okay, 2nd thread of the day! LOL
So, I was planning on getting a 25 gallon tank right after christmas. I was just looking on craigslist, and I found a 55 gallon tank for FIFTY dollars! I thought it was a great deal, but then I started thinking about the costs of a heater, filter, fish, substrate, plants, etc.
The cost for the 25 gal kit is $100. Then I have to buy gravel etc.
The cost for the 55 gal:
Tank: 50
Filter: 35
Substrate: 34
Heater: 29
Lighting: 60-80 for t5 lighting and fixture
So far this is 240 dollars, and I still have to buy a test kit, fish, plants, blah, blah blah.
What do you think would be the best to do?
