55 Gal Stocking

What would you guys recommend for stocking a 55 gal, i am looking into cichlids, ranging from one oscar, one Midas Cichlid, to getting alot of smaller beautiful colorful fish. Lake tangyaki(spelling?) or lake malawi

Are you going South/Central American or African?

african... i think if i am unable to get an oscar or midas or a red devil, although red devils and midas cichlids are the same

You have alot of choices with Africans. Lake Tangs are hard to find around here, so I don't know the availability of them. Which ones from Malawi interest you?

i think the Haps are malawi, along with some peacocks and yellow labs and some demonsi's
