So, I'm picking up a 6.6 gallon tank from a friend, and I am having a hard time deciding what to stock it with. It's gonna have sand, and driftwood, and hopefully be well planted, but still low tech, no CO2 and stock lighting. So here are my three main options as of right now, but I'm open to suggestions:
1. Pea puffers (probably around 3-4)
If possible, a couple freshwater bumblebee gobies
2. Dwarf freshwater shrimp (probably cherry reds, unless I'm able to get a good deal on something a bit cooler)
Sudadanio axelrodi OR chili rasbora OR celestial pearl danio
Maybe a scarlet badis (probably not due to predation of shrimplets, or at least not until a colony is built up)
Amano shrimp (2-3)
Tracked nerite snail (2 at most)
3. Neolamprologus ocellatus "gold" (a colony of 4; I already have n. multifasciatus and love them, but this would kill the plant and driftwood idea)
So let me now what you think! Thanks all!
