Can i just water from the hose and add dechlorinator as it fills?

Can you somewhat temperature match the hose water? I wouldn't put cold water directly in...but it may not be too big of a deal...we just don't want anything crazy happen. If you do it, add enough Prime to cover the full volume of your aquarium (not just the gallons you're replacing).

Yeah, add Prime directly to the tank first. I would be a bit worried though about adding cold water... even though you don't have fish. I'm not sure how the BB would react to a sudden and dramatic change of temperature.
