75 gallon powerhead question

Hey guys, Im new to this. I am starting a 75 gallon freshwater community tank, and was wondering if a powerhead towards the bottom of the tank would be beneficial for current as well as possible filtering. Will be running an emperor 400 and 280 on this tank. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
