This is and update to my original thread that was posted in getting started. I will also post new pictures once i add fish or update things in this new thread.

http://www.aquariumadvice.com/forums/f15/90-gallon-setup-and-stocking-mission-238820.html

So i said i would be getting the Current USA LED+ lights and raising my stock to what i last posted in the thread i linked. I just wanted to post the pictures of the tank at its current state and with the new LEDs. Not the best quality camera but i guess it will do. So here ya go! Let me know what you think.

If this were mine, I'd have the sand rise gradually from one side of the tank to the other to create more depth.

Good idea. I would have to pickup some more sand for that. I plan on putting in real plants with dirt sometime though. It would be cool to work that in some how with sand and dirt.

I think that would look great. I'll tag along for the build if you keep us updated :)

Anyone got any better design ideas for the current setup of fake plants i have? I been moving them and trying different things but i would like to hear your ideas!

Those colors sure are vibrant! I would love to see that in person, or a video even! Do they change how the colors of the fish appear?

And are these the LED lights that have moonlight and lightning settings?

I too would add more sand - I think it's really neat looking to see a side section of the substrate.

As for the plants - I think an open area or two would look nice. Maybe concentrate the plants around the stump and around the other tall thing you have in there (sorry I can't tell what it is - my computer refuses to open photos to let me view them larger), to leave an open space in the middle?

Add another angel, such a beautiful fish, and even better In pairs :)

Yea the color is beautiful, even better when its dark out n the lights inside are off. I should take a video. When i do i will make sure to post it. The different colors do make the plants and the fish look different its pretty sweet. I rele do want to add more sand but like i said i want to add real plants with dirt so i need to find some way to work the dirt in and maybe some more sand. The left side with the stump is a pretty open area and the angel fish likes to hang around there so i don't want to add to many fake plants there..I will just move stuff around until i find a good spot lol. The thing on the right is a tall rock kinda structure. Once i get dirt n real plants i will do a redesign though.... Cant wait for real plants and i love the dirt look also.

Here is a direct link to the lights.

I love that about fake plants - you can move them around whenever you want and get a thousand different looks out of the same plants! I'm sure you'll find an arrangement or ten that you love :)

A video would be awesome. I watched their video ad for those lights and it didn't show much so it would be really cool to see them on your tank. Plus I'm guessing the colors will come across better in video form than pictures.

I'm curious to see how your tank looks after the remodel with live plants. With real plants and that lighting, it will be something to behold!

update

I have added real plants to one half of the tank ( 4 amazon swords, 1 anubias nana , a fern i forgot the name i will update when i remember and some dwarf hair grass that is not growing to well) Besides that i have added a Bolivian ram. He is a really cool addition and i love his colors and the way he goes about in the tank. Here are some pictures of the ram. I will be adding updated pictures of the tank soon as well.

plants

Dont mind the DHG that's uprooted a bit, just did a WC and the hose sucked it up a little. Also i have got a brown algae problem going on and it seems like it happened right after i added the plants that's why some leaves look a tad bit dark. Hope it looks alright lmk what you guys think.

Close up of the anubis. Im currently using home made c02 method and the lighting is the LED+ only. substrate is FloraMax. I Also added 8 ghost shrimp with the Bolivian but i can only always count two so i think the angel might of had a few snacks.
