Acquired 30Gal Tall Tank.

I've acquired 30Gal Tall Tank, in major disrepair.
I picked it up on my way home from work, and it was free.
anyways, it needs some major cleaning and a seal check.

Basically, It has dried up algea all over the tank and its peeling. It also has some lime, and it needs major cleaning. The algea is solid on the glass, but is peeling, it looks like its been dry for maybe 1-2 weeks. I've got it out on my rotting deck with 2" of water, leaving it overnight to see if water leaks out.
It did have a stand, but the bottom piece was rotting a bit, and I didn't like the stand.

My question how do I clean this tank, and where would I find a 30Gal tall tank stand?

Thanks,
Mp

Wash it with bleach. rinse it a lot until you smell no more bleach. Use white vinegar to remove the lime. rinse rinse rinse

sweet!

now all I need to do is find a stand for it.
I'm rounding it off, going L x W x H,
30" x 12" x 19"
I'm not sure if to go wood or steel.

I'm already having trouble finding a stand for the 30Gal Tall.

*thinks twice about going back and getting that stand*

That's the same stand for a 20 High, which should be more easy to find. Maybe I'm thinking of a 30 Extra-High. Is that what you have?

If you cant find one, and you know a few simpe things about wood and powertools, you could make one better then you could ever buy.
