im planning to add a flying fox or two in my tank for some algae control.

do u think they will be accepted by my comets?

or will my comets eat them?

Well, I can't understand why you would want to put another fish, let alone two more fish into an already "massively overstocked" tank. (quoted your own words from your profile).
Accepted? I doubt the goldfish will care if they are there or not but, if it will fit in the goldfish's mouth, there is a chance they will eat it.

flying foxes don't do much for algae, you're thinking of Siamese Algae Eaters...but they too will hit 4-5" in a year, and way too much for your tank.
