I'm looking to add a school of 20 harlequin rasbora to my 25g tank. What would the best way to go about adding a school that large to the tank? Right now it's just a gourami and a betta that's going to be moved to a 10g planted. Should I do two groups of ten or four groups of five?

Keep calm and rock on

I would do 4 groups of 5. That should avoid a mini-cycle. My locally owned fish store lets me buy them all and come back for them. Enjoy!

Agreed. I am currently building up my cardinal tetras. I quarantine 15 at a time and when they're ready I move them into the main tank 5 at a time with about a 3-4 day gap, checking the ammonia and nitrite to ensure a mini cycle has not occurred. I usually get a slight rise for a day or two but under 0.25 ammonia and a barely visible nitrite rise. I assume that adding 15 would be too much for the filter to cope with and a bigger cycle would occur.
