Advice is needed!

Hey all!
I picked up a peice of driftwood from my local creek and i was wondering if i could put it into my tank. I'll put some pics up of it! I hoope i can keep it i want to put some Anubias Nana on it

You'll have to clean it really well and strip off the bark. That looks like a fairly fresh piece of wood. I think I'd soak it in a Rubbermaid tub for a few months before I would put it in my tank.

I would guess no. Cedar wood contains a toxin that can leach out.

Hey all!

Soak it in a bleach solution for a week. Then rinse and runse again, then soak in water with a 5x dose of dechlorinator.
