The noise will not bother fish. The only problem with too many bubbles if the current got so extreme it effected a poor swimming fish. Not really much of a worry.
I don't have a bubble wall or stone but some of my friends do and all the fish seem to like swimming into it, floating up to the top and doing it again. They must like it or they would stay away. Just my 2 cents.
my ADF (skeeter) loves waiting for a big bubble to come and ride it all the way to the top - i watched him the very first time - scared the **** out of him - then the second time he loved it
