If I don't have algae growing in my tank is that bad I know it may be a silly question but if theres no algae does that mean that my fish tank hasn't matured or got the right bacteria in it?

It probably just means that you aren't overfeeding and haven't put too much light on the tank. But give it time and it'll come out and play

Thankyou yes it would be the lighting I only have a single T8 over my 50 gal tank but that's getting upgraded shortly as I'm looking in getting real plants
