Algae on Snail Shell

So I was staring one of my aquariums today, and it has a decent size apple snail in it. I noticed it has some green algae build up on the shell, does it affect him at all?

It happens it does hurt the snail. They will clean each other off.

The only thing ill say is my bristlenose pleco was a total bully to my algea covered snail, so much so I had to move him to another tank, he was constantly on top opf the snail and the snail was always hiding and running for cover lol
