What is this stuff on my cichlid stones? There is a little on the glass too I think. What's causing it? It's a planted aquarium.

I would say a good 2 months. Adding plants as I go along.

I have a pretty new tank too, 3 months or so and I have the same problem. Looks very alike to yours. People say it is diatoms - brown algae and it will go away on its own. I have noticed in my tank, it stopped growing, still have some but no new signs.
Make sure you don't run the lights for too long

Yes, it is diatoms for sure (also called brown algae). It usually goes away on its own in a month or so. Otos love it, but I wouldn't add any until your tank is a bit more mature. Rams horn snails (and others) also eat it.
