My teacher gave me these almond leaves and are telling me they're basically a miracle plant for fish tanks, especially bettas. I have a few questions though...

She says it's an antifungal, antibacterial, tonic, hormone inducer, and I just want to know if this is true...

Is it safe for all aquatic creatures other than bettas?

How much is safe to put in if I do use it?
(20 and 10 gal tanks)

How long can/should I leave it in there?

Hm..I have never heard of this before! I am definitly going to watch this for responses...

A knowledgeable person at the fish store told me about almond leaves and peat moss. But I'm sorry I caan't remember the exact reason for them I think the peat reduces ph. Will have to go to the net to find an answer if no one here knows.

Yes, the peat will reduce pH. Not sure about almond leaves though.
