Alternate live foods

I have been thinking baout getting flour beetles as a food source for my bottom feeders and I was wondering what you think?

Edit: not the beetles but the larva

Also, if you have other food types that you use, list them here and give others some alternatives for a variety of good fish foods.

I am not a big fan of flour beetles in the first place (make very sure nine escape!), so I have never tried them, but I regularly use earthworms, whiteworms, blackworms, various small shrimps, and daphnia.

Crickets are great too in addition to Toirtis' recommendations.

mosquito lavae are good for fry,
Crickets, Roaches, Worms, Flys, Moths, Mice for larger fish.

Should add...crayfish, feeder livebearers, spiders, maggots, waxworms.

What if you only have little fishes up to 3"?
Does anyone have a link to a page about how to raise your own live food?
