would you say my 55 gallon has reached it's maximum healthy capacity? I was thinking of maybe another small school of tetras..I would get more bleeding hearts but they are punks and 7 is enough of them!!

Well, it depends how often you do water changes and are willing to manage keeping the water parameters in check; to keep all the fish healthy.
Also, you should probably keep an eye on the gouramis, as they can get a little rowdy with each other. You may notice the opaline gourami to get more territorial as it gets larger.

Another thing is if you decide on getting another school of tetras, that isn't a whole lot more bioload for the tank, so I think you would be ok. Were you thinking of another kind of tetra like maybe rummy nose tetras or another smaller tetra like the rummy nose?

How low is your NO3 staying?
If your doing enough/large enough water changes to keep nutirents low you will be fine. (for capasity)
