Aquarium Advice Regular
I will probably sound silly asking this, but is it possible that some sandstones I placed in my tank recently are feeding brown algae? I haven't had algae previously, and the tank has been cycled since early July.
Nothing else has really changed, except possibly a little more light on the tank due to changing seasons.
I don't want it to get out of control, but the stones are also very pretty so I don't want to remove them unless needed.
Water parameters are all stable at: Am 0, Ni 0, Na 5, pH 8.
55gal with two fantails
Edit: NOT a planted tank. Large gravel for substrate. Tons of pothos growing from HOB filter. 30-50% water changes every seven days with 1/3 substrate vaccuum each water change.
Thanks!
