Thanks! They had like 40 of them where I got him... It was a huge shipment from Discus Hans. They wanted $20 a pop for the ones in the tank next to this one, but only $5 for the ones in his tank. I guess the other ones were more blue? They all looked the same to me so what the heck! Lol. I've been seeing them more and more often in my area (new Jersey).... Hopefully they will get out to you soon!

Yea the store I saw them in was just there display tank, I'm going to talk to them about ordering some, I would order one online but you never know what you'll get. I'd hate to pay shipping on top of 20+ to get something that is barely blue at all

I agree! The idea of online ordering has always made me nervous, although I'm sure there are plenty of people that have had great success with it! I would be afraid to do it without a photo or video of the actual fish I would be getting, it's just too darn expensive

Koi and marble

Angels are just awesome, how can they not be everyone's favorite fish? There's so many different varieties and have so much personality

This started out as a thread to help the op pick a type, and it's become an angel gob fest. I love it haha

I agree and thanks to everyone for the pictures. Keep them coming. But it hasn't made the decision easier. Because they are all amazing.

Agreed! I rate them right up there with my discus, maybe even higher I just love them.

So I've been hearing rumors about a rare new strain of "red" Angelfish circulating... Anyone come across one yet, or is it all just a rumor?

Zebra and common silver angelfish I believe.

Yes! Do you think they are altered with hormones or something? Maybe just selective breeding?

I heard about these too! From what I've looked up its just selective breeding, like how there's gbrs and electric blue rams

And I do love the color of discus, but angels are easier to care for I think so that's why discus aren't in my top ranks of fish

My boyfriend and I had a traumatic incident with our first batch of discus from what was diagnosed by our local discus expert as the "plague", but since we started over we have had no problems with them. I think we have had an easier time with the discus as far as health and aggression go than our angels! They were actually infected with the "plague" by an angelfish! :-/ we should have used a QT but what's done is done, it doesn't make me love my angels any less

not a great pic, but here's "Raphael" my angel :)

Gold marbles in a lip lock. They always seem to be bickering at each other but still make me proud.
