Any fish that look like Chinese Algae Eaters?

About...4 months ago I bought what I thought was two Chinese Algae Eaters.

However, after looking at them today [ their in different tanks ] They look increadibly different. I mean, same coloration.. but one has a dark black stripe down its side ending right at its fin. The other has kind of black rectangular spots running down his body in an off center fashion [ Like -_-_-_- kinda ].

Is it just a difference in development or are they two different types of fish?

Thank you, Zach, for the links--I think I will visit it next spring especially when it is 'pond' time. The info there is really neat

I have a pic, but its gotta wait for admin approval in the gallery.

I'd upload directly to here, but for some reason whenever I try to upload a picture it gives me an error.
