I've had that happen on just about every tank lid I've ever had, just seems to happen wherever there may be a little splashing and the lid stays constantly moist

+1 on this me as we'll

yep i found it on mine also. i think it has to do with lighting, moisture, and water temp. not a biggie, just wipe it off when you can.

your not the only one. it's from little droplets of water caused by a hanging filter and/or power head i have the same thing (posted same pic twice oops)

Is that tank salt water?

i have a hanging filter and power head and bubble wall so i get that stuff all over my tank

My neighbors tank also has the same issue. Just have to wipe it off every so often to make sure it don't build up that much.

I personally have never had an issue with it, although my tank lights are LEDs so they don't produce enough heat to really get things growing on it I think. Of course I might be wrong and just lucky.
