Anyone have a clue about gouramis?

OK... I have two gouramis at home and I want to breed them. I have a 3 blue spotted gourami along with a gold. Some people say that I can being that the only difference between them is the color. If so, feel free to lend me some advice as to how to carry this out. Thanks...

Hmmm.....interesting question....the gold gourami is a color varioation of the blue gourami....but can the two breed? I would tend to think not because if that were possible then you would see all dfferent kinds of gouramis popping up all over the place...

If you wanted to try, however, you would have to put them in a tank all their own, and once you notice that the male builds his bubble nest and is swimming back and forth by the female and flaring, then lower the water level to about six inches.
