Anyone have experience with Killifish?

I had a beautiful one some years back. I was a fluke that the aquarium store had them so I bought a pair... The female dead about a month later, but the male lived for another 18+ months...

I hear that these fishes are from Africa and are born in puddles when it floods and then die rather quickly when it dries up...

I was given a link to a group online where you can buy eggs. I am wondering if anyone has experiece with hatching these fish, especially in a community tank. Also, I could never figure out what sub-species I had, but he had lots of blues, reds and yellows... very pretty.

I would also be interested to know what types are the most attractive, and maintainable...
