API Filstar XP

Hello all,

This is my first post, so bare with me. I just bought an API Filstar XP canister filter yesterday and would like to know what media combinations, other than whats supplied in the box, work best for water clarity. It's a 50gal freshwater aquarium, stocked with about 10 live plants, and approx 25 fishes.

Also want to add that after only 24 hrs of running, the water is indeed crystal clear. Still want other opinions on different filter (chemical) media, thats sutible for plants
