API Freshwater test kit.

I was wondering if there is a "Shelf Life" for the API Freshwater test kit. Meaning...do the water testing chemicals expire ? Thanks!

Yes. There should be a lot number and expiration date stamped on the front of the bottle, or maybe the bottom.

It's on the front of the bottle of what year they expire, but mine like 2 years ago still have solution left, and doesnt expire till 2019

I think the date on the front (last 4 didgets) is actually the month and year when it was made, not expires.

They say 1 kit does 800 tests so idk whi is doing 800 tests in a years time.
Even twice a week for a year would only be 104 tests.

Idk what their exp. date is though from date of manufacture

Ok cool...last time i paid any attention there was a "lot# ______" on em and the last 4 digits were a manufacturing date

I hear ya so many different opinions on threads because there's never an exact way to do things, everyone has their own way that works, everyone has their own procedures they use etc etc.

Mine have the lot number but no expiration date. I have a feeling they my be about 12 years old...[emoji15]
