Does anyone have any experience with the API water filter? The reviews on various sites make it sound like it is perfect solution -- at least for smaller aquariums. I want to use it to lower my pH just a little to help with fighting algae issues. I've been researching algae like crazy and have learned it is easier to control if I get rid of some of the carbonates. My tap water is 8.2 pH, KH is 15 dgh and GH is 14 dgh out of the tap. I have no phosphate issues. If I can mix my tap water and this filtered water to get my pH and carbonate levels down even a little, it might help. Anyone with experience with this?
