aquarium arch?

has anyone seen or used these things? they are plastic archs you can have coming out of your tank that use air lift to fill with water and your fish can swim through them

wouldn't the glass/plastic get dirty just like the tubes for canister filters. how would one clean it? Cool idea... ...couldn't a large fish get a little confused if it got spooked partway through the tunnel and get stuck when it tried to flee in the opp. direction?
