aquarium heater

Us this a submersable heater? Doesn't say in the directions but pic shows it submerged and cord going into the water. However it has a water level line on it.

The water line if it says minimum means the heater has to be in water above that line. So it can't be out of the water below that line, but I would do a google search around and make sure it is submersible.
 
It must have come with the aquarium. My brother in law never used it and it has no brand name. Thinking I might just buy another one. It's only 50 watt and from what I've read I need a 150 min to 200 watt for 45 gallon tank

Best advice you can get, don't impulse buy.

Research before you buy and you will save yourself time, money, and many stressful situations!
