Advantages, disadvantages, and which is better?

They both detoxify using sodium thiosulfate; however, Prime goes on to bind ammonia, nitrite and nitrate to make it non-toxic. Prime is also more concentrated, which translates to more bang for the buck. My vote is on Prime, as I've been using it for many years with outstanding results.

I would say Prime. Especially if you have multiple tanks or a bigger tank. Also would go with the biggest size they have for it available, it'll last you awhile and save you money.
