Aquatic plant online ordering in winter

My local stores do not carry a wide selection. Is it okay to order online during winter (we are in Missouri) due to cold temps experienced in shipping? Anyone have any recommendations for good suppliers of plants?

If your local temps are really low make sure they are adding heat packs. A lot of plants will be fine in reasonably cold temps but really low like 40-50 degrees and below will most likely suffer without a heat pack. Hans aquatics is a smaller producer but has really really good reviews. You can try aquabid.com or the best is to buy from other hobbyist on this site.

Yes heat packs are a must I like either https://aquariumplants.com/ or https://dustinsfishtanks.com/. I have personally ordered from both in the winter with no issues.

I received an order for Aquarium Plants dot com in early January and they arrived very cold. No heat pack. I think they rode around in the USPS truck for about 8+ hours that day. Despite that, they turned out fine.
