are Wet/dry filter & Mini-Reef Filter the same thing??

i've been to several LFS/LPS which have over 100 tanks !!!
i asked them what filter they use in their tanks

they said something like "Mini - Reef"

has anyone heard of this?
is this the same thing as a wet-dry filter ??

To be honest with you.. It sounds like the employee that told you that didnt know much about the central filtration system they were using..
If you saw no filtration but plumbing in and out of the tanks there is a 99.9% chance that the tanks are run on one or more central wet/dry filtration systems.
