There where from Canada. Got them from a rock mine for landscaping. Do you think, that they should be safe for aquarium? Do you also know the name of it?

although i don't know what the rocks are per se, but i there are tips to see if the rock is safe for fish. 2 of the most well known tips are to
a) make sure that the rock has no shiny silver colored minerals at all as those can leech into the water, harming your fish
b) pour some vinegar on it to see if it bubbles and fizzes. if it does, the rock will definitely raise your pH
those are the only 2 methods i know of...hope they helped

I can't be sure, but it looks like chert to me. In which case it should be fine. Put some vinegar on it. If nothing happens then you should be fine. If it fizzes, leave it out. :)

Yep. There chert. They do not spark with metal. They do fizze and bubble in the vinegar, but that do not bother me. I have a ph regulator with my co2 that should control the ph difference . I do see some crystal in it.

What is the rock that aquascaping use, that look closely to what i have?

if your trying to find a rock that looks similar to that, i would reccommend slate, it's flat but it has similar texture and color
