I've got three young rosy barbs and it feels like they have to check everything out and taste it. The gravel vac seems endlessly fascinating for them as well.
I've noticed young loaches seem more outgoing as well whereas the older fish are more 'saw that last weekend, can't be bothered'
So I'm wondering if young fish are perhaps more playful/mischief makers (like puppies) and get more sedate with age? Or if they just think it might be food whereas the well established fish know better?
