I am very new at this and have started a tank with an ADF without cycling the tank first. I am using "Prime" water conditioner to keep the ammonia at 0. My question is, if I use priime will there still be ammonia available for the bacteria, I am also using a product called cycle to add bacteria to my tank and yes I am doing frequent water changes. I have been told that prime does not remove ammonia it just makes it safe for the fish. Sorry if this has been answered before but like I said I am very new at this.

Yes, it is still available for the biofilter. Just keep up the water changes and do them as often as necessary to keep ammonia at .25ppm or lower. There's a good read in my signature on cycling with fish.

Thank you. Apparently I ahve a lot to learn and this seems like to a good place to learn it.
