Tiring day, but well worth the effort... we got up at 4 this morning to get ready and head out for Charlotte, NC. It's about a 3.5-4 hr drive so we decided just to take a couple bags of shrimp and several bags of plants (all of which we packed last night).

We ended up with:
Guianacara stergiosi juvies- 2 bags
5 ADULT Mesonauta festivus, 2 proven pairs and a fifth wheel
Cichlasoma dimerus juvies
Apisto Rio Narino GORGEOUS adult male
L. repens
Apisto cacatuoides orange flash- 2 adult males
A croaking gourami (Trichopsis vittata)
2 ADULT Mesonauta acora
some awesome Crypt wendtii "Florida sunset"- we'll be propagating these
A super nice young blue crayfish, about 3"
Young group of 5 Betta enisae
Juvie australoheros scitulus
4 Apisto gibbiceps juvies

Pics to come...

you drove 3.5 hours just for a couple fish?
haha just kidding but i don't think you got enough fish!;)

Do yow know how often the Croaking Gourami clicks and how loud are the clicks?

LOL. Of course! We actually filled a couple of styro coolers with fish. Even with 80 tanks, we only have so much room at once.

I honestly don't know. It's a neat little fish though. :)

Score! Wish I went to that convention!

Yes, please post some pics! Want some :)

When you have a population of them, will you be selling them???
Which ones?

I think he means the croakers and how big are they?

First pics: Mesonauta festivus breeding group. Vid is uploading now but this will have to do for the time being. Sorry for crappy quality cell phone pics. ;)

wish i would have known about it i only live 45 minutes from Charlotte :( is this a regular sale or something they do annual

It is an annual event. Sorry, you missed it. They seem to have a great club building up there. Check them out C A A S :: Index. The Raleigh club also seems to be very active and I think they are planning a workshop with speakers on various fishy topics soon.

What and where in Charlotte? I live here and I had no idea anything was happening, but then again I'm not really in the fish loop :b

The apistos and Bettas, they sound real cool! Wouldn't mind some sunset crypt wenditti either. Let me know if you guys are going to try to grow/breed them, I would be happy to buy some from you :)
