Hi:
I need help, I don't know if I have 5 rosy barbs, and 2 golden barbs, and an albino tiger barb, could be considered this as schooling for all the barbs?, or they have to be from the same subspecie?, thank you in advance.
 
yep, they do have to be from the same sub-species for them to school.
 
Not necessarily. Fish can do some unexpected things, I've seen Silver Tip, Black Skirt and Buenos Aires tetras all school together with a single gold barb. But, there is no guarantee that yours will do this. The same subspecie would *almost* guarantee it. I say almost because as I stated before, fish can do some unexpected things.
 
yes but im sure the sub-species is the more common that not thing, like cardinals hanging out with neons, or dojos and kuhlis
