is there any specific filter that anyone would suggest for a 150g tank?
i've been looking at the marineland C-530 canister, rated for a 150g tank but i want to know if i have any other options that might be better...

i've heard the C-530 leaks a little :(

so i guess i could use my 55G as a sump when i choose to upgrade to a 125 or 150? i'm thinkin 125-150 because i have at least one fish that will eventually need to move into a tank that size and i also plan to pick up a BGK

Bigger is always better if you can swing it.

But with large fish filtration comes first. If you can only swing a 125 with proper filtration. Do that.

A 55 as a sump is a great size, I had a 55 with two fx5's on my 180 once upon a time.

I'll agree with the filtration part but what I was planning on doing was 150G with either my 55G as a sump or a marineland C-530 canister filtration... And if need be I'll add a secondary top/side mounted filter... Haven't quite decided yet and I have tons of time to plan :)
